Village Workshop

First Village WorkshopOur first community workshop was designed to meet with the local people in our village, Baan Wiang Dong, educate them about basic medical care of dogs and how they could prevent common diseases.

It turned out to be a small gathering of about eight or nine…..cat owners. No problem - we love cats too.

A local vet generously volunteered his time and discussed such topics as sterilization, vaccinations, and disease prevention.

Often people are afraid to have their pets sterilized for fear that they might experience pain, and possibly even die from the operation. We successfully assured them that it was a simple procedure and was the best way to keep their pets healthy and prevent overpopulation.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with our neighbors. We are looking forward to our next Village Workshop at Bann Roi Chan.

Soraya " Since visiting Care for Dogs, I have learned that feeling sorry from a distance and wishing I could help them just wasn’t enough. I started coming just to play with the doggies here, walk them and talk to them. The dogs just loved my attention, hugs and scratches behind the ears even if I couldn’t take them home. [More]"
