Two Affectionate Puppies Looking for a Home
Apona and Akeela are two warm and wonderful puppies in need of an equally warm and wonderful home.
These sisters were abandoned on the road as puppies, initially were taken care of by a school and have been staying with us as foster parents for almost a month now. They have stolen out hearts, but due to the nature of our jobs and other logistics, we won’t be able to keep them much longer.
Apona, her naming meaning “all embracing” in Hawaiian, is the floppy-eared, outgoing one whose tongue hangs out the side of her mouth.
She is always the first to greet you when you return home and always the first in trouble. She is also the first to roll over for a good helping of belly rubbin’.
Akeela, meaning “wisdom” in Arabic, is more tempered and thoughtful.
She takes a little bit of time to warm up to new people, but once she does, she is a sweetheart with plenty of kisses to go around.
They are reddish brown with black face patterns. They will probably grow to be medium-sized dogs.
Apona and Akeela would like to be adopted together but separate homes will be better than no home at all.
