Care for Dogs Foundation

By Ally • Aug 14th, 2009 • Category: Lead Stories

At last after 3 years of working towards this goal, Care for Dogs has finally become a registered charity.

It’s been a struggle and Karin has been the person behind all this heavy work, liaising with lawyers and other parties to make this happen.
Managing to meet very important and rigorous requirements under Thai law, satisfying various levels of government office, responding and chasing endless clarifications and of course paying the appropriate processing fees, is a demanding task in itself but having ‘a day job’ at the same time can not have been easy.

Setting up a foundation requires a committee, a formal structure, independent accountant amongst other things and to establish these, has not been without difficulty.

Transmissible Venereal Tumor

By Ally • Mar 5th, 2009 • Category: TvT

The purpose of this article is to raise readers awareness of some of the work that Care for Dogs is involved in, apart from Sterilisation, Adoption and caring for sick or wounded dogs at the shelter in Hang Dong, Chiang Mai Thailand.
Dogs that suffer with this awful condition pass it on to one another very easily. Either via intercourse or contact with the blood, a dog can easily contract it and pass it on to all those that are in their vicinity.
