Puppy – baby – love

By Karin • Oct 26th, 2008 • Category: Available for Adoption

Pearl is at our shelter now, playing with other puppies who had a similar fate, being dumped, forgotten, neglected.

If you are interested in giving Pearl or one of the other puppies a loving family home, please get in touch with us.

**Update one day later**
Our dog caregiver, Khun Saay, found another puppy in front of the shelter. “Diamond” looks like the sister of Pearl and both are reunited now. We checked the area and couldn’t find another one, hopefully no other puppy was dumped in the area, it would have a hard time of surviving without food.

Hua Hin 6 - Refuge in Chiang Mai

By Ally • Sep 25th, 2008 • Category: Lead Stories

Verity and Dawn at Head Rock Dogs probably didn’t think they would overcome the intense pressure bullied upon them by Hua Hin authorities, who were telling them their facility would be raised to the ground on the 27th September 2008, no matter what dogs remained at their shelter, which also served as the base for their community support operation.

Amid the ugly scenes in the small and bitter community where they tried to provide a humane and caring service, Verity and Dawn reached out to Thailand and the rest of the world to ask for help.

Sarah - A tremendous asset to Care for Dogs

By Ally • Sep 16th, 2008 • Category: Interviews

When I first met Sarah, I knew Care for Dogs was about to grow.
At that time, a year ago, I had become tired of running around here and there every day, waking up each morning to think “was the dog I helped the previous day for real, or just a nightmare that was becoming all [...]

Monday morning’s as I drive to the shelter I often wonder what the list of cases will be that day.
As I arrive, Sarah typically gives me a hand written note, as if I was going to the shops for some groceries and begins to talk me through the list, telling me some more back ground [...]

By Karin • Aug 29th, 2008 • Category: Available for Adoption, Dog of the Month, Khao-Wai

Khao-Wais’ ears seem to be a fair reflection of how she feels - a bit shy but at the same time alert and curious. She’s a friendly girl and just wants to be loved and find her own home.
We took her to our shelter because the people in her area didn’t like dogs and wanted [...]

By Ally • Aug 19th, 2008 • Category: Available for Adoption, Jenny, Mii, Panda, Rescue Stories

This story is a little upsetting as the title suggests. But there is a happier outlook for them and we can assure you, they are now in a better place than they were.
In September 2007, the concerned children of an old lady that had recently passed away, contacted Care for Dogs. They explained about their [...]

By Ally • Aug 10th, 2008 • Category: Lost Dog, Winston

The Saturday after Winston was dumped, it wasn’t long before we were inundated with calls saying that this dog would be ideal for their home circumstances and it was a tough choice for us to turn so many people away.
As an aside to this story, this case highlights a major issue in that some people [...]
