Mr. Somsak Karunapitak the Leader of the Veterinarian Office (Dog Rescues Hua Hin) disclosed that the present the Veterinarian Office is now preparing to arrange a Sterilization Project for all dogs and cats in Hua Hin Municipality. Dogs and cats who have lived with human beings for a long time. depend on each other all the time. Humans look after them by feeding and loving them . House pets, on the other hand love their owners and are devoted to them to them through loyalty and honesty, sometimes they act as a security guard for the house as well. By nature, at the same time all these dogs and cats have the urge to reproduce their babies. Unfortunately they will be overpopulated and if not vaccinated regularly , they can carry the Hydrophobia disease to human beings. The people have to decide to do something to reduce their population in the near future. This is a very serious and priority procedure that has to be started without delay. Hydrophobia is a dangerous contagious disease from animals to humans. The germs can penetrate our bodies and it can destroy our brain nerves against which there is no medicine available. The total patients from this disease did not reduce even after people knew more about this disease or even if we have better quality vaccines to protect us from this disease. The preventive vaccine to protect the hydrophobia in humans and animals is very expensive and costs us more than 100 Million baht per year. We try to arrange the Sterilization Project for all dogs and cats in Hua Hin Municipality on the 20th – 22nd of August 2008 at the Dog Rescues Center Hua Hin especially for all stray dogs or where for dog and cat owners that cannot afford the vaccine , this will be extended free of charge. This is to control reproduction of dogs and cats and also to protect animals to be a carrier of hydrophobia disease. We hope this project will help a lot to reduce the dogs and cats population in Hua Hin municipality and reduce the danger of contamination to humans. For residents who would like to take their dogs or cats to the veterinarian office can ask for more information at the Dog Rescue Center Hua Hin Tel :032-516-551 |
