St. Project (part 4) Assadathon Rd. - Visiting Princess
Follow up from Street Project - (part 3)
On Saturday (27/9/08) I visited Princess at the Care for Dogs - rescue centre. She was looking very happy and content perched up in her very own corner.
She was recovering well - eating well, energy levels ok, not in pain and very open to any affection on offer. The team at the shelter said she’d been a bit quiet but that’s to be expected after recently losing all her puppies as a result of her infection. She’s not normally a high energy dog either.
After some snuggles I fed her worming tablets to her, sprayed her against fleas and cleaned her ears.
She’d made some new friends here and seemed quite comfortable.
Should be no problem returning her back to her home on Assadathon Rd hopefully on Wednesday if the doctor gives her the all ok.

Teresa " To be able to save as many dogs as possible from these situations and give them a better life full of the love, care and compassion that they deserve fills me with a strong feeling of contentment. To see puppies with little hope go from starvation & weakness to full of life and dogs that shivered in fear at any sudden movement suddenly so affectionate after we rescue them or distemper cases with little or no hope make a full recovery, makes all our hard work at Care for Dogs so worthwhile.[More]"
