Prem Center – Temple Project – “Hand to Paw”

Below is a clear demonstration of the commitment of the core drivers to this excellent initiative. This email was sent out by the team to pupils, parents and Prem Center contacts, in an effort to raise awareness to the project and hopefully encourage people to help in any way they are able.

“HAND TO PAW” OUTREACH
A PARTNERSHIP PROJECT: PREM, CARE FOR DOGS, NONG PLA MUN TEMPLE

If you opened this email, it must have been because of your concern for many of our 4-legged friends! We are looking for interested, compassionate students who would like to be part of a new Prem community outreach initiative called “Hand to Paw”. This project is designed to care for the dogs currently living at the Temple in the village of Nong Pla Mun.

Your active participation and “hands on” commitment to care for the Temple dogs will also help establish a positive relationship between The Prem and our village neighbours.

By joining us you can personally sponsor one of the 10 beautiful dogs presently residing at the temple. You can help be responsible for his/her overall health and well-being. This will include giving vaccinations, organizing spaying/neutering clinics to prevent loads of new puppies, bathing, fundraising, basic healthcare and training. Most importantly, you can give them loads of love, something these young dogs have never experienced.

If you wish more information, want to be on our mailing list or want to actively participate in this exciting new project please email Arjan Sandy at sandrac@premcenter.org . Once the project is officially underway all interested students will be advised of upcoming events.

Come join us this month – We need your help

Before the end of the March we would like to have all the dogs vaccinated for Parvo, distemper and rabies. Following this all 8 female dogs presently living at the temple will be spayed.

Hand to Paw is working jointly with Care for Dogs. They have generously offered to fund the initial immunizations, spaying and recovery time following surgery.

“The worst sin towards our fellow creatures is not to hate them, but to be indifferent to them. That’s the essence of inhumanity.”
— George Bernard Shaw

Ajarn Sandy and Joy Huss will be supervising all Hand to Paw activities at the Temple
