Now Dave disappeares from Wat Nong Pha Mun

Another contact from Joy – the Care for Dogs volunteer working with the students at Prem Center on their Hand to Paw Outreach Program.

Sadly, Khun Grib confirmed my worse fear yesterday. I have not seen “Dave”, an all white male dog from Wat Nong Pla Mun that we had, with the help of the monks, been treating for e-canis this past month.

He seemed well recovered and I had been stopping in on most days to give both he and Star extra canned food to get their weight up a bit. For the past week I have not seen him, but was hoping that it was just timing and he was just out and about.

Khun Grib called the temple yesterday and was told they have not seen him since the day of the shooting of Mama and beating of Star.

DSCF0091I have attached the photo that was taken of Jigme and Dave on that same day in the afternoon, so his disappearance came sometime after that event.

We can only assume that something happened and most likely not good.

I can at least know that his last moments were being cared for, fed and hugged by the students from Hand to Paw.

Again, like Mama, we will never know the outcome of this, but will keep trying in our efforts to protect the rest of the dogs at the temple.
