Lulu & Mimi need a home
*Mimi has already been adopted.
*Lulu is still available for adoption. She is currently undergoing surgery for her Luxating Patella. She will be ready for a new home once she has fully recovered. We are still open to all enquiries.
Here are the girls!! They don’t come sweeter than this.
Let me introduce you to Lulu & Mimi.
They have had a hard life and various health issues as a result of not being cared for by their previous owner. I’m happy to say that they are now fully recovered, happy & ready for that someone special to make them part of the family.
Lulu is a female black poodle. She is approximately 1 1/2 years old. Extremely friendly and affectionate, good with other dogs and cats. She is house trained, fully vaccinated, healthy and already spayed. She loves riding in the car. WARNING: Be prepared to fall in love with this gorgeous girl!

Mimi is a female white poodle. She is approximately 1 year old. Mimi is house trained and gets along good with other dogs and also cats. She has already been spayed and is fully vaccinated and healthy. Mimi is friendly and independent. She is a no fuss, easy going dog who will make you very happy. She loves riding in the car.

Teresa " To be able to save as many dogs as possible from these situations and give them a better life full of the love, care and compassion that they deserve fills me with a strong feeling of contentment. To see puppies with little hope go from starvation & weakness to full of life and dogs that shivered in fear at any sudden movement suddenly so affectionate after we rescue them or distemper cases with little or no hope make a full recovery, makes all our hard work at Care for Dogs so worthwhile.[More]"

Lulu remind me of our own doggie Jeany. Poodle/Poodle Mix are great dogs, but in some aspects a little special. From own experience two practical tips:
1) positive
Poodel and many poodle mix breed don’t loose hair. That means no dog hair at clothes, apartment, car or anywhere and so less hoovering/cleaning. And cause of that even families with allergy problems around animal hair can consider these dogs as pets(like Obama-family, but make sure it’s okay before adoption!).
2) less positive
They don’t loose hair. It’s like a dust mop, collecting dirt but don’t give it up. So grooming/bathing is a regular task. Hair is growing and gets slowly longer and longer. So a trim/haircut from time to time is no question of fashion but necessity. But you can do it by yourself with a little experience, it’s no big problem.
We would choose a poodle/poodle mix anytime again, they are just great (okay all dogs are great, and yours will always be the greatest, but they are especially great).
Best wishes to Lulu, Mimi, Adam, Eve and all the others.
Michael
Do you still have Mimi?
Mimi was lucky. She already found a new home.
