Ken Deckard - Feedback from a supporter

Striper ready to goIn a recent post you may recall we wrote about a guy who saw a sick dog and the “owner” unable to properly take care of Striper with such a health condition, so Ken took it upon himself to get her the emergency care she needed and do all he could to help the poor creature by paying vet bills and with the owner’s consent, find a new home for her too.

Well after the operation (hysterectomy after pyometra) which certainly saved her life, the dog Striper, stayed at the Care for Dogs shelter for a week, had regular medication and then after the all clear, was scheduled to make a journey to her new home.

Ken, the guy who made all this happen, visited the shelter this week to see Striper and meet some of the other residents at the shelter. He also brought along his girlfriend and a camera which he used to catch some tremendous photographs.

Below is an email we received from Ken after his visit and we have his approval to publish.

I would like to thank you again! You & your team are doing such a great service for the animals & people of Thailand!

Sarah & Gill, that showed my gf & I around the premises are really good ambassadors for your organization, they re not only knowledgeable, but their compassion & commitment are pouring out of their being.

Striper, my gf & myself are very appreciated.

Here are a few pictures I took today:

These caught what I felt @ your place, a real sense of health & dignity.

I wish I would of got more of the volunteers in action, but I was really amazed & overwhelmed by these beautiful animals.

I just wanted to write how grateful we truly are.

Have a nice week.

peace,
Ken Deckard
