Kazim - Please sponsor this old dog
Kazim is another one of those dogs that some folks pass in the street and think how on earth they got there and in fact wonder how on earth are they still walking and breathing.
Kazim was found wandering with a variety of fleshy, bleeding tumors, in his eye, nose, back & his penis. A record case for Care for Dogs treatment plans of TvT (Transmissible Venereal Tumor), he required 10 weekly injections of Vincristine (typically treatment is of between 4 - 7 jabs).
He was already an “Old Boy” and we think that if he could tell us, he would have many a tale to tell and story to make you realise he had a hard life. His tumors have now gone, but sadly the one in his eye destroyed the eye itself and the remaining eye is blind from Glaucoma.
He doesn’t move very far from a shady spot where he will curl up and sleep. He is a bit like the aging parent some of us have in our home, nodding off in the garden with the newspaper over their head, having fallen asleep and awaiting the next meal time. Similarly, Kazim needs bringing into a sheltered spot away from the rain when the clouds break. Sarah says that she remembers this as her number 1 priority!
If you feel that you would like to contribute to Kazim’s vet bills and of course his board & lodging (routine costs of the shelter), then please contact us by phone or email. In case you are interested in giving Kazim a warm home, please let us know.
There are many puppies, teenagers and adult dogs awaiting a new home at the shelter, follow this link to view more.
