Hand to Paw – Village pups now under their care

This week Care for Dogs received a call from a very concerned visitor to The Spa, a very select retreat in the hills around Mae Rim.

Jenny an animal lover from Australia, had seen a very skinny and heavy breasted female dog scavenging for food around the roads near the resort and it didn’t take her long to find the mother & her pups, as Jenny had been out & about at dawn & dusk to track the hungry mother back to her home.

Jenny along with Susie from The Spa, who it transpires are extremely concerned for the welfare of animals and generous with donations of food for local families, showed us to a very poor home just down the road & we saw 2 nursing mothers & 6 plump little pups of about 5 weeks.

It didn’t take long to enroll local assistance from Prem Center ‘Hand to Paw Outreach’ project and Joy responded by saying she would visit the location in the next few days with worming plus tick & flea solutions.
