Guided walks in the forests around Chiang Mai for People with dogs

Jamie is a keen walker and also a lover of dogs, he has also adopted a dog called “Buddy” from the shelter.

Recently, sparked by the announcement of the Care for Dogs Walking Agency Jamie came up with a brilliant idea to bring further benefit to dogs in Chiang Mai and of course their human companions.

Jamie is currently very active in Chiang Mai with the hiking community and would like to start dog walks with people that would like a guided tour of the various country paths around Chiang Mai.

Are you interested in guided walks in the forests around Chiang Mai for you and your dogs? I have been hiking all over the Doi Pui Suthep national park and surrounds, with my global positioning (GPS) machine and my two dogs and know all the trails very well. I know out of the way trails and also trails that start close to town that you can walk in an hour or so. I have been leading the Chiang Mai hiking group a lot recently and as well as knowing most of their regularly traveled trails I have been taking them to many areas they have not explored before.

RidgeNorthMaeSaIf you are interested in an expedition with your dogs I would be happy to guide you.

I am free to go for 1 or 2 hour walks in the morning around 7/8 and I go for a longer walk every week, mostly on Thursdays as well as going out with the hiking group on Sundays.

I think it would be possible also for others with dogs to join us on our weekly free hikes with the Chiang Mai hiking group. As I said I have been leading a lot of hikes lately and have taken on a leading role in the group.

I take my dogs Buddy and Athit out on hikes with the group. I think it would be great to have more dogs going out regularly with us. But : the dogs would have to be very well behaved if off the lead.

  • It is all to easy to lose a dog who gets to excited being in the forest and goes off chasing something.
  • they would have to get on with my two males. I have them well trained and they are pretty friendly and good at getting on with other dogs now.
  • we would have to ensure that having your dogs along did not detract from the experience for other hikers taking part in the group.

If you are interested in coming out with the hiking group or on a walk on another day then get in touch with me.

So there you have it, get in touch with Jamie & get out & about with your dog, enjoy the walks, maybe meet new friends & learn about the various trails & pathways with Jamie & his dogs.
