GT-Rider Group visit the shelter
Many bikers in Thailand share opinions and record their motorbike rides on a highly popular and extremely useful internet forum – The Golden Triangle Rider.
A couple of weeks ago, one of the forum riders and dear friend Franz, suggested we plan a ride to include a visit to the Care for Dogs shelter to raise some money and also awareness of the work and hopefully spread the word about adoptions.
Today was the day, 7 bikers met at Kad Farang in Hang Dong and I took the lead to show them the shelter location, tucked away out of barking distance in Nam Phrae. During a guided tour of the shelter all riders made generous financial contributions, putting in excess of 8,000 baht in the shelter donation box.
David Unkovich the boss himself was there and after the visit he showed us the way to ride the Samoeng Loop clockwise over to Mae Rim where we finished our ride at The XCentre meeting up with the Ambassador (the antipodean one).
Personally I would like to thank everyone for coming along to the shelter and everyone at Care for Dogs hopes to see you again in the future.

Happy to see, there are people on two wheels who have a relaxed and even affectionate relationship towards our four legged friends that cannot taken for granted. Thanks for your open hearts (and wallet
) Michael
That is good. Thank you for sharing.
