Grace spends her day with the puppies
This morning a willing volunteer visited the shelter during a stay in Chiang Mai, giving up her time to help out with what ever needed doing.
There is always something to be done at the shelter and she immediately got stuck in to a really valuable task.
In one of our enclosures, E6, there are many pups, all of which have come to the shelter in a poor condition, with coats showing patches of old bacteria, dirty and unsociable.
Armed with some cotton buds, cotton wool, ear cleaner & some ‘Topical Toner’ Grace went through the pack like a dose of salts and even managed to cuddle a few and tell us she really enjoyed her stay and left saying she had learned something.
What she learned maybe was that every dog, no matter how big or small, how dirty or pretty, needs love, affection and a human companion.
Thanks Grace, please come back & see us again & do pass on the word to your friends that we always welcome new volunteers even for a few hours, the contact with the dogs is so valuable.
