Follow up - Chiro & Randy
As we stress at time of adoption, a follow up visit to the home will be made by Care fort Dogs as we are dedicated to ensuring that a dog is adopted for the right reasons and into an acceptable environment.
Today I visited 2 dogs Chiro & Randy, that were adopted in April this year, at their home in Doi Saket.
As I arrived at the house I saw a 3rd dog, called Daeng and both the re-homed dogs were excited to see me. Ok, so I had doggy chews in my hand but they looked naturally content in their surroundings and were looking as if they were being fed and cared for. I spoke with the householder on the phone about the dogs. He said he wanted to offer dogs accommodation, a little like a hotel. Where they had bed, food and somewhere to call their home. The house was within a large spread out village with very little traffic. There were other dogs around too so these 3 would not be short of company!
Randy’s character at the shelter was aloof and he was difficult to get near. Well nothing had changed there. But Chiro was a dream and loved a cuddle and there was no trouble to touch him all over. The 3rd dog was looking ‘a little the worse for wear’, with a healing eye injury and mange. I spoke with the home owner and he said he had taken Daeng into his home from a local street, as he felt sorry for him and as well as feeding him, was giving some medicine in order to help heal the eye.
I spent a while with the dogs and took a few photo’s. Indeed they have somewhere to call home.
