This wonderful young girl named Cookie is light brown and white in colour and has beautiful golden eyes. She has a gentle and kind temperament, is interested in horticulture and has an acute experience of banking.

There is a lady called Bonnie who regularly feeds and cares for all the dogs that live in and around Nimmanhaemin Road where Cookie lived for about a year since starting out life as a homeless pup on the street. Bonnie told us about the difficult situation arising in the road, where Cookie and her friend Snow White, were regularly camping out on the steps of the Kasikorn Thai bank and enjoying the delights of soil and plant roots, thoughtfully placed at the beautified entrance forecourt of the bank.

The staff at the bank had a sense of humor to a point but after the plants were dug up too many times and it must be said, a right mess made of the forecourt, the bank management were considering poisoning the dogs.

Karin, Sarah and Bonnie approached the bank and asked for leniency and they denied any suggestion that they would harm the dogs but ‘an insider’ staff member advised us otherwise.

Although the shelter at the time was crammed full, the 2 Kasikorn gardeners were squeezed in and after only a short time, Snow White was whisked away to a new home, adopted by a dog loving family who were only used to having one dog around.

So now Cookie spends her time in and around a roofed area at the shelter with her mate Khao Wai and other girls awaiting someone to adopt them. She can often be seen sitting on top of the dog house and if you stop and chat with her, she enjoys giving you her paw to say hello.

It seems Cookie likes a close friend and after losing Snow White, she set up a close relationship with Khao Wai and it would be wonderful if Cookie could find a home and take along her friend too, as they have bonded so well.
