Chanel & Kira - Fall in love with Kazim

Below is an extract from an email from 2 folks who recently spent some of their vacation helping out at the Care for Dogs shelter in Hang Dong, Chiang Mai, Thailand.

As with so many volunteers, they see the true characters of the dogs through prolonged exposure and their situations touch their hearts.

This is what Chanel said:

During my time at CareForDogs, I have grown quite close to many dogs, and Kazim has been one to really capture my heart. I saw on the site that he needs a home - if I could take him back to the states with me, I would, but I can’t, so I thought the next best thing I could do for him is to sponsor him. I was wondering how I could go about doing this.

And in case I don’t get to see him again, please give him a huge hug for me and lots of pets on the head as well as all the other dogs, like Paul :) or the dog whose name means the color “green” in Thai (I don’t know how to spell it).

And is there anyway, to stay updated with CareForDogs while I’m back in the states? Newsletters via email? I would love to stay updated and so would Kira.

What a lovely message.

And the good news is, we have been able to advise Chanel how to donate / sponsor via our shop here at Care for Dogs, using PayPal with a credit card and we have already added their email addresses to the “website updates” subscription listing (via the right hand side bar).

I should send you our photos of the dogs. We have some pretty great ones if you need more!

  2. Thank you for including us in your website! It has been a wonderful experience volunteering at Care for Dogs. The work this organization does is so important, thank you for letting us be a part of it. Chanel and I look forward to our goodbye visit later this week.
