Care for Dogs is a foundation for homeless dogs in need. Our main aim is to improve the situation of street and temple dogs and cats by organizing sterilizations, health and rescue services, and adoption programs. We are running a shelter and health centre for approx. 120 – 140 dogs and puppies.

Due to our increasing activities with weekly booths at the Sunday Walking Street Market and with monthly Adoption and Sales Fairs at the Airport Plaza we are currently looking for a Sales Activities Coordinator
(Part time; approx. 44 hours / month)

• In this position you would be responsible for
• Placing ads for volunteers on various websites and other information outlets
• Coordinating the presence of Thai and English-speaking volunteers for both the Sunday Walking Street Market and the Adoption Fairs
• Actively participating in our Sunday Walking Street Market Booth (selling merchandise, handing out flyers, spreading awareness about animals in need) every Sunday from 4pm-11pm
• Picking up the booth merchandise in town before the start of the Sunday Walking Street Market and dropping it off at the end (no transportation necessary; pick up and drop off location is within walking distance).

Applicants should be Thai nationals, fluent in English (both written and spoken), honest and reliable, well organized, self-motivated, friendly and compassionate towards animals.

Care for Dogs finds permanent and loving homes for approx. 200 dogs and cats a year. We are currently looking for an Adoption Follow up Visits Coordinator (Part time; approx. 16 hours / month)

In this position you will visit the homes of the adopted dogs and inquire about their living conditions. The goal is to make sure that the dog is loved, well cared for, and safe. You would make approx. 4 follow up visits per week.

Veterinarian (DVM)

who will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Providing medical care for the various rescue cases we get (assessment, treatment plan, follow-up etc.)
• Deciding whether a dog/cat needs to be checked at another clinic (e.g. for x-ray or ultrasound)
• Performing sterilizations (further op’s, e.g. accident surgery or tumors, depending on experience)
• Treating TVT-cases
• Arranging and supervising medical care (tablets, injections, wound dressings, IV drips etc.)
• Providing medical coaching for dog caretakers
• Arranging, recording and supervising preventative health care (vaccinations, deworming, spot on, heartworm prevention)
• Purchase of medicine and vaccinations
• Updating medical records
• Checking recovery of sick and/or injured dogs

As we have to deal with a variety of severe medical conditions, a candidate needs to fulfill the following requirements:

• Possess a DVM license
• Min. 2 years experience
• “Hands on” personality
• Team player with good communication skills
• Good knowledge of English
• Motivated to give his/her best for the care of dogs and cats

Shelter Coordinator is a busy job so we are employing 2 people to carry out this work which as anyone who has visited the shelter will know, is a demanding role but very rewarding as the daily contact with the dogs as well as meeting volunteers and visitors brings a great deal of job satisfaction.

This job is a paid position, the employee is not required to live in and previous experience is not necessarily essential. But fluency in Thai is definitely required.
