Working part-time and making a difference to animals in need

Care for Dogs is a foundation for homeless dogs in need. Our main aim is to improve the situation of street and temple dogs and cats by organizing sterilizations, health and rescue services, and adoption programs. We are running a shelter and health centre for approx. 180 dogs and puppies.

Care for Dogs finds permanent and loving homes for approx. 200 dogs and cats a year. We are currently looking for an

Adoption Follow up Visits Coordinator

(Part time; approx. 16 hours / month)

In this position you will visit the homes of the adopted dogs and inquire about their living conditions. The goal is to make sure that the dog is loved, well cared for, and safe. You would make approx. 4 follow up visits per week.

Applicants should be Thai nationals, fluent in English (both written and spoken), reliable, self-motivated, friendly, and compassionate towards animals.

This is a job well suited for someone who desires independence, flexibility, and wants to help make a difference to dogs and cats in need.

We are looking for a motivated, reliable, and flexible personality for the open position of a

Charity Support Coordinator

who will be responsible for the following tasks:

Local PR / Fundraising Activities

Organising monthly Adoption + Sales Fairs (incl. PR) at shopping centres
Participating in our weekly Sunday Walking Street Market Booths
Coordinating Thai and English volunteers for our Sales/Awareness Activities
Developing and taking care of our online store
Source, purchase, stock control + promotion of our merchandise

Fundraising Support

Promoting our facebook page / publishing regularly up-dates
Writing thank you cards and sponsor certificates

Assistant Management / Shelter

Participating in adoption appointments
Organising international adoptions
Answering phone calls and e-mails
Accounting / administration

Organising education programs with schools

What we ask from you:

Very good organizational and administration skills (incl. MS Office)
Good communication skills
Flexibility and a “can do” attitude in a lively environment
“Hands on” personality
Foreign or Thai nationality
Excellent English knowledge (conversation + writing)
Knowledge of Thai is an advantage
Must love dogs

Care for Dogs – Job Opportunities

Care for Dogs has three part time openings! Interested candidates can apply for one, two, or all three jobs.

Sunday Market Sales Activities Coordinator (32 hours per month): responsibilities include actively participating in our Sunday Walking Street Market Booth (selling merchandise, handing out flyers, spreading awareness about animals in need) managing and picking up the booth merchandise in town before the start of the Sunday Walking Street Market and dropping it off at the end (no transportation necessary; pick up and drop off location is within walking distance). Every Sunday, 3pm till 11pm.

Follow-up Adoption Visit Coordinator (16 hours per month): responsibilities include visiting the homes of the adopted dogs and asking about their living conditions. The goal is to make sure that the dog is loved, well cared for, and safe. 4 follow up visits per week.

Shelter Assistant (32 hours per month): being at the shelter and managing all Thai contacts when there (by phone, in person, and by e-mail), introducing volunteers and visitors to the shelter (in Thai and English), and being knowledgeable and helpful during adoption appointments.

Individuals can apply for only one of the positions or for all three (80 hours per month), depending on interest. Please indicate in your e-mail which position you are applying for. Applicants must be honest,hard-working, committed, motivated, and reliable. Applicants should be Thai nationals, fluent in English (both written and spoken), and compassionate towards animals. Applicants should be ready to make at least a one-year commitment to this job.
