Licorice’s positive turn-around!

After lots of reassurance from Sarah, Karin, and Ally (as well as others!) who thought that it was still more likely for Licorice to be suffering from e-canis (the SNAP tests can be fallible and give a false negative) than from cancer (both would affect platelet and red blood cell count).
I started Licorice on doxycycline [...]

Licorice’s bloodwork

I’m really scared. Although Licorice’s mange had dramatically improved, the stress of the flight had caused her to start loosing some hair again. I therefore opted to put her back on Ivermectin but with no real improvement this time around. Since Licorice’s mange hasn’t gotten much better there was a concern in my mind that [...]

Licorice

Licorice arrived in California after more than 10 hours on the train and 20 hours of flying. She must’ve been both exhausted and confused, but surprisingly, never once whined. She seemed to intuitively trust that the destination would be worth the journey…
For those of you who don’t know her personally, Licorice was brought in a [...]
