Blind & Lost – Now back home

This week we were contacted by a family in Chiang Mai who rescued a dog after she had fallen in the moat that surrounds the city.

The moat is 1 mile by 1 mile square and this dog, Mom Maem had been found in the south east corner, actually in the water.

We visited the family home of Kh Oh and took some photos and details and persuaded them to hang onto the dog at their home and spread word amongst their friends and neighbours, hoping that Mom Maems family would be out looking for her.

This sweet and gentle old girl is blind, has no sight at all, and her demeanor is so calm and happy, she certainly would be missed.

Sure enough, 2 days later, we had a call from Mom Maems family who were worried sick about her. They explained that there was a ceremony at their home north of the city and fireworks had caused their dogs to become very excited and Mom Maem had run off in fright.

What a lovely ending to a desperate situation.
