Male Dogs (Adult)

Kung
This gorgeous Thai Brindle was rescued after a car accident. He is doing well now since he is such a strong and powerful breed. He is young at 1-2 years old, is a medium-large size and gets along great with humans and other dogs as he is so friendly. He is a real beauty!
Harley
This nice male is 2-3 years old and medium sized. He was hit by a car, came to our shelter and has now recovered and is ready to find his new home. He is quite friendly and good with people but can be a little dominant with other male dogs. Can you take him in?
DukDik
This 2-3 year old is a large sized mixed breed golden colored male dog full of character. He needs a home with a secure fence as he has a bad habit of chasing bikes. Despite this, he a good natured gorgeous dog that would be a great addition to the right home, no young children though- he is good with other dogs, except dominant males. He needs daily exercise and some grooming.
Deam
This beautiful male is 4-5 years young. He is a very friendly boy, great with people and his only downsides are he is a chicken chaser and can be dominant with other male dogs, so a female companion would be best. Please give him a chance for a full happy life!
Duk Dik Duk Dik
Duk Dik is a large sized mixed breed golden coloured male dog full of character. See additional photo here. We have had to let him go as we have a new baby and he is NOT SUITABLE for a home with young children. He also needs a home with a secure fence as he has a bad habit of chasing people on bikes and potentially biting them…Despite this he is a good-natured, gorgeous looking dog who would be a wonderful addition in the right home. He is sterilised with all his shots and would fit well into a home with other dogs except very dominant male ones – however, he may be lonely on his own. If you think have time to walk him at least once per day on the lead and brush him every now and then…Contact Us
Locky
This 2 year old male is small-framed, calm and relaxed guy. He keeps to himself and gets along with other dogs, is low-keyed and would be best without young children. He does enjoy human company and would need some grooming due to his long and lovely coat.
Jib Joy
This lovely fellow is 3 years young, medium-sized and just look how cute he is with his little polka dotted ears! He would be better with female dog companions and is good with all people.
Jee Jee
This young male is 2 years of age and is still getting used to new people. He is okay with other dogs, but probably best with no young children. He was rescued from a terrible fate and we hope he can find his new forever home very soon.
Charlie
This young fellow is around 2 years old. He is quite insecure and would need that special someone who has the time and patience to help him to trust people. He is a medium size with a short easy coat.
Lord Snowdon
This small guy is between 1-2 years old. He can be temperamental and would be best with other dogs and not young children. He could use some training for that special someone who is up for the challenge!
Khai Jiew
This young man is 1-2 years old. He is great with older people(no young children) and other dogs, although he can be territorial. He loves to play and run and would need a secure home with a large yard and high fence as he likes his action.
Gook Gai
This lovely little man is the sweetest guy ever. He is around 4-5 years of age and a medium size. He was born with a problem in his back legs but it does not stop him from getting around and showing his glorious personality!
Snowy
Snowy is a young and attractive dog who, if you ever had a chance to meet him, would surely become your friend. Unfortunately, Snowy did not have a good start in life. For most of his growing up years, he was kept imprisoned in a cage by a family who thought they were protecting him from other dogs. He had no playmates or fun, just cold water and food. At some point, Snowy developed seizures and went unmedicated for it until we found him. He will have to be on seizure drugs for the rest of his life.Today, he’s a enticingly charming young male who adores being cuddled with. If you could offer him a safe home, please contact us and come to meet him! And to sponsor his care & medication, you can do click here….
Mii
Good day to you! My name is Mii, which means ‘bear’ – but I am not at all grumpy, in fact, I’ve been described as ‘mellow’ by those who know me well. I am an older dog – now about 3 years old – and enjoy days spent relaxing in the sun, though I am not averse to a bit of play with my friends here at the shelter – as long as they don’t try to eat my dinner – grrr! I’ve learned that I don’t need to show any dominance by fighting, a show of strength and calm is enough to keep the peace here at the shelter. I would dearly love a family of my own – I used to have TVT which has left a hole in my face but I would still make the most loving, affectionate and loyal friend if you can see past the scars. Hoping to sniff you soon!
Boon Long
This sweet big guy is about 7-8 years old. He is friendly, likes walks and loves attention. He would be best with female dogs if possible. Please help him find his home for all time!
BlackJack Blackjack
This little fella is under 1 year year old and is medium sized with a longish black coat and a handsome beard. He’s very playful, yet gentle and loves affection. He would succeed well with some training as he is obedient and loyal. Contact the shelter English (08 47 52 52 55) or Thai language (08 69 13 87 01) to make an appointment to meet him.
Sammy Sammy
To sum up Sammy: adorable, affectionate, afflicted and available! Sammy has a limp due to an injury on his front left paw. He is otherwise healthy, loving, strikingly beautiful and very much in need. Contact the shelter English (08 47 52 52 55) or Thai language (08 69 13 87 01) to make an appointment to meet him.
Ben Ben
Since Billy has happily been adopted, the shelter has lacked a lovable old grump to take his place. Thankfully, Ben is ready and willing to do the job until a replacement will need to be found for him in turn – both Ben and the team at Care For Dogs hope that will be very soon. Contact the shelter English (08 47 52 52 55) or Thai language (08 69 13 87 01) to make an appointment to meet him.
Zorro
This sweet little man loves to go for a hop with his three good legs! He’s had a rough go, but is just waiting for that special someone that can be his friend for life. Contact the shelter English (08 47 52 52 55) or Thai language (08 69 13 87 01) to make an appointment to meet him..

Sunshine
Hi, I’m Sunshine.  I know I may not look like the handsomest dog in the shelter but I certainly feel like it! I think my snaggle tooth gives me character and makes me look distinguished – but what’s important is what you think? I am small but they tell me size doesn’t matter a jot – though I hate to use such a word, they tell me I’m cute. They’re probably right too! I’ve been sterilised, given all those blasted shots and am now ready to be taken to the right home where I hope I can be left in peace. Is that too much to ask?We at Care for Dogs don’t think so. ADD A LITTLE SUNSHINE TO YOUR LIFE!  Contact the shelter English (08 47 52 52 55) or Thai language (08 69 13 87 01) to make an appointment to meet him.

Bo

Bo
Bo is an older guy of real character. He doesn’t take any nonsense from those dogs without manners at the shelter, but is all in all a really friendly fellow. Bo is healthy, sterilised with all his shots and would make a great guard dog as long as he is not kept on a chain or in a cage – he would truly benefit from a loving forever home with older children and/or dogs. You can tell he’s seen alot in his life but is still handsome with a luxurious tawny and white coat. Can you offer him a stable home to retire to?

Casey

Casey
Casey is a very gentle, lovable boy with a long sausage dog body. Exceedingly cute! He is around 2-3 years old, healthy, sterilised, fully vaccinated and waiting for you with his little backpack all ready to go. He only asks to be fed, exercised and loved and would be no trouble at all to any family with or without children or other dogs.

Finn

Finn
One of our 14 ‘box dogs’…read their story here. Finn is an older dog and as a bankaew mix would make a great guard dog as well as a loyal, loving companion. We wouldn’t recommend him around young or playful children – although very healthy, he needs a place to retire in dignity and peace after his previous ordeal…maybe you could do so together? Call us: (Eng) 0847 52 52 55 (Thai) 0869 13 87 01

Long

Long
Long is a mature 4 year old to whom happiness is a nice treat and a good stroke. Long is very friendly but can be wary of people he doesn’t know. Give him a chance and you’ll see the soft side of this loving, gentle dog who would benefit so much from a home of his own with loving, gentle owners.
Tipsy

Tipsy
Tipsy adopted us! He kept turning up at the shelter from a nearby village. Despite several attempts to return him to his home – one actually involved a blind fold – he found us every time. Now this is not to say that if you have time and love to give him he would not rather be in a loving forever home. This distinguished older fellow is a real sweetheart. He loves hugs and attention and also his quiet time. He is medium-large sized and has a medium black coat that is easy to take care of. He just needs a safe, shady spot in your family’s hearts and home!

Fritzi…Please Sponsor Me
Fritzi first came to our attention when he turned up at Wat Vivek in Mae Jo in 2008, where we regularly feed the Temple dogs.We noticed that he was almost blind so maybe this is the reason he was dumped there. We took him to the vets to see what was wrong with him and he was diagnosed with Glaucoma which means that sadly, even the small amount of vision he has will fade and he will be blind. He now needs eye drops for the rest of his life. He lives at the shelter currently, away from the hazards of road traffic and he will get regular food and cuddles from volunteers. If you are interested in adopting him, please contact us.

Singtoo
I have a sad tale to tell…my owner got angry with me one day for no good reason and he hit me so hard that he fractured my head and I lost my right eye…Though I’m certainly better off in the shelter, after all I’ve been through I think I deserve kind and caring owners for the rest of my life. I am a 3-4 year otherwise healthy sterilised male with lots of love to give to the right people. Please consider me if you want a gentle, calm and appreciative companion for you and your family.

Pui
Could you take time to brush me or even take me to the salon every now and then? I promise I won’t bite. People say I am very handsome and I think I am too. I’d love a chance to live with a family of my own outside the shelter. I’m healthy, sterilised and vaccinated so you can just pick me up whenever ;-)
