Lucy and Rosie.. off to start their new life with Kathy and Averill.

What an achievement, Lucy and Rosie became role models for a happy ending out of a very bad start in life, read more about it here

With the support of other good hearted people we hope to be able to help the next ones just like them, because unfortunately, experience tells us, there are always next ones…

After being picked up by Care For Dogs and fostered by Gill where they were nurtured and socialised, their plea for a new home was answer by the perfect people.. maybe you can offer a home to Smokey & Robinson..?

As a little UPDATE you’ll find here some more details about our 2 three colours:

Lucy and Rosie are very lucky kittens, they look like sisters but are actually from different litters. Both litters were abandoned when they were just a few weeks old.

Lucy, on the left was found in a garden with 3 other kittens and Rosie was dumped with her litter in a Temple. Sadly, people routinely leave kittens in Temples where they assume they will have a safe home. This is usually not the case. Quite often they will be found by the Temple dogs first and eaten, or like Rosie, she hadn’t been weaned so she couldn’t even feed herself.

Luckily, both litters were spotted by tourists and they contacted the shelter. Sadly, not all of the kittens could be saved, but the lucky ones responded well to bottle feeding and have grown into strong, healthy, sociable kittens.

All have gone to new homes except for Lucy and Rosie. They are now about 3 months old and have spent so much time together that I would really like them to be adopted together. Can you offer them a loving home? They are vaccinated de wormed and litter trained. Please come and meet them at my home near Wat Suan Dok. Call 0871 89 1623.

Gill " I feel really fortunate that I am able to spend my days doing something so fulfilling and worthwhile. I enjoy spending my time just loving and cuddling our dogs and taking time to restore their confidence in humans. Some have been through untold traumas or are family pets that have just been abandoned on the streets or in Temples so its wonderful to see them settle into the dog family groups here and get a feeling of security again.
