2 Lady cats need a home

Please see this desperate plea from someone who is leaving Thailand and cannot take his cats with him.

He has already left the cats with Lanna Dog Rescue who are looking after the cats until they find a home. (Sadly their website & email are not available for us to advise you here)

If you or someone you know could give these 2 mature girls a home, please contact Jim Messenger direct on jimjimm3@hotmail.com for more information.

This is what Jim has to say about Sophie & Malachai

f62009e6b3b0e59bbd122 f142009e6b3b0e59bbd126

Been with me for 5 yrs. Raised from babies. Both had litters, are fixed and vaccinated.
Mild mannered. Not sick. Gentle and Perfectly loyal to each other and this human. They talk too.
Please help me find a home for them together. Complete bio and character info, likes and dislikes
avail from previous human friend.

Names are Sophia for the white one and Malachai for the darker one. S. is the Alpha cat. M is the other.
They took care of each other from birth. S was mom for M. They helped each other with their litters. They sleep together.

Go out together and when one is gone exploring the other will come and ask where she is and tell you she’s lonely.

S is more companionable. In the last few months she has gotten closer and closer. She sleeps at the head of the bed, top right corner.

In cold weather she likes to loll at night under a lamp. M is more afraid and timid. Always been that way. Will follow the other cat, but needs real patience and encouragement so she feels safe. Been like that all her life. She needs alot of attention, but will run away from you. She needs to be taken in had and hugged. and made to feel safe. Then she;s OK.

When finally you get near them, they trust you, then if you can hold each of them in your arms and on their backs, this is what they like the best. M especially. I think she was taken away from her mother too soon. So when you’ve gotten her to that point, and she trusts you enough and looks up at you with those big loving eyes, you know you have a friend for life. Same with S. S will come to you first. She needs to bond with someone too. But the M, acting more independent is the one that needs the most assurance.

If they have a place to hide during rain storms that would be good. They like to be high., Had that alot. So if you can allow taht it;s good. They need to feel they can run away and hide in their own world and come out to play when they are ready.

My advice is to keep them in the house for upwards fo 2 months. let them get used to you your movements and dialy schedule. let them come to you. This will be the best.

FOOD
Leave out fresh water every day, change it 1 time is good too. M only eats Gourmet Cat food by ……. at Rimping….. the yellowish orange bag. She’ve very regular this way. Put it out fresh and refresh when they need. This way M will be assured that she’ll be OK with you. S eats the same thing. ( Really they don’t like anything else..just wont do< I tried. ) S also like frish from the market, local ones. Small grey silver fish in plastic trays. 3 on a tray. She likes it baked and dry. Crumbled into tiny bits. She loves that. If you got her meowing for that then you got here for life, because this she loves. has to be dry. No milk or anything else, eggs, chicken pieces sometimes but as they got older the diet I was giving them is what they thrived on, that and the beasties they managed to catch out or inside.

They are great hunters S especially. M is good but misses a bit. When they start to talk to you and ask for things then you know you got them for life. I did. I had them for as long as I could. They just need someone they can trust and they'll be your best friends for life.
